Jesus was crucified
We know this
We do not know what
it feels like
To be crucified
But we can imagine
We are human beings
We are built to imagine.
Some of us in our zeal
Enact our own unique crucifixions
Replete with spikes and lances
and cries of "Why me?"
We must be crucified!
Our sins are so great
And mounting so
That crucifixion seems too
good for us
But it is the worst
We can imagine.

Yo Man, talkin'bout crucifixion, and imaginin' such a way unto death...not just pain, but excruciating pain!! Quite a few thangs on the table in this piece. "Why me?" is always a hard question, even IF it is rhetorical. That's the extent of wrappin' my brain around "Crucified" in the light of these days. This is how I heard it for a living perspective in a nutshell (drama and all):
Life is short
Death is sure
Sin is the cause
JESUS is the cure
Got to factor in forgiveness (either way regardless), especially after repententing & accepting salvation (trusting GOD'S Words of promise), because we can't simply forget certain things.
